What is the use of industrial energy storage system?

Today, carbon reduction has become a global consensus. Affected by factors such as economic recovery, the early arrival of high-temperature power consumption peaks, and "water shortages" in major hydropower provinces, many regions are facing severe challenges in electricity consumption this year, and measures such as power rationing and power reduction have been introduced in an orderly manner. As a large electricity consumer, the factory has prominent contradictions in power supply, protection, and demand. What is an industrial energy storage system?
Industrial energy storage system refers to the energy storage and dispatching system applied in the industrial field. They are designed to solve energy supply problems in industrial processes, providing stable power and energy reserves to meet the needs of industrial equipment. Industrial energy storage power systems can use various energy storage technologies, such as battery energy storage, supercapacitors, compressed air energy storage and fuel cells.

Among them, battery energy storage is more common in industrial energy storage systems, and its characteristics include:

High energy density: Industrial batteries have high energy density and can store a large amount of electric energy to meet the high energy consumption requirements of industrial equipment.

At present, the industry's profit model mainly relies on peak-valley arbitrage, that is, charging at low electricity prices during low valleys and discharging at high electricity prices during peak hours. China is gradually improving the time-of-use electricity price. In some provinces such as Guangdong and Zhejiang, charging and discharging can be realized twice a day, which speeds up the investment recovery period of industrial energy storage. Industrial energy storage can also be used in conjunction with photovoltaics. When there is excess photovoltaic power generation that cannot be consumed by the industry, it can be stored in the energy storage system. When the photovoltaic power generation is insufficient, the stored power can be released for use, thereby increasing the penetration rate of clean energy and saving electricity costs for industry and commerce. In addition to the above points, industrial energy storage systems can also serve as backup power sources. We know that there may be power shortages in some areas in summer, and the energy storage system can provide power for the main load and deal with sudden power outages, reducing the investment cost of UPS power supply equipment in the industry.
