HuZhou, China – November 18, 2025 – Headway Group, a leading manufacturer of premium Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries, successfully hosted a delegation from a renowned Japanese company for a comprehensive on-site welding test and technical review. The event, held at Headway's facility in China, underscored Headway's client-centric approach and its capacity for rapid, collaborative problem-solving.
The Japanese client's visit was centered on evaluating the performance of Headway's 40152S 17Ah 16S1P battery pack when integrated with their specialized welding equipment. The primary objectives were to conduct rigorous welding tests and verify the operational behavior of the Battery Management System (BMS).
The day's agenda was meticulously structured to provide full transparency and foster deep technical exchange:
Factory Tour: The delegation, welcomed by Headway representatives Gary and Henry, was given an extensive tour of Headway's advanced production facilities. This included the cell production line, battery pack assembly, safety testing equipment, charge/discharge units, formation equipment, and final product inspection stations.

Focused Welding Tests: The core of the visit involved welding tests under various conditions, with currents ranging from 100A to 170A. The tests utilized Headway's battery pack equipped with a Bluetooth-enabled BMS for real-time data monitoring.
Collaborative Technical Analysis: Following the tests, both teams engaged in a detailed results review and strategy discussion, culminating in a final technical meeting.
During the testing phase, Headway's technical team played a proactive role. While the standard 16S1P configuration was tested initially, our engineers promptly proposed and executed an on-the-spot modification: assembling a new 18S1P battery pack to enhance performance.

Key Findings and Collaborative Outcome:
The initial tests provided valuable data. The subsequent trial with the 18S1P configuration demonstrated a marked improvement in welding consistency. However, minor "arc blow" phenomena persisted. Through joint analysis, Headway engineers identified that the root cause was likely related to the discharge rate (C-rate) of the current pack configuration. It was also noted that the improvised 18S1P pack was tested at a partial state of charge, suggesting that performance at a full charge could yield even better results.
Demonstrating an unwavering commitment to client success, Headway Group has immediately initiated an internal R&D program focused on optimizing the discharge rate specifically for this application. "This on-site session was a perfect example of our partnership model in action," said a Headway spokesperson. "We don't just provide batteries; we provide solutions. By working shoulder-to-shoulder with our clients to diagnose challenges, we can rapidly develop and deliver the precise performance they need."
This successful collaboration highlights Headway Group's core strengths: deep technical expertise, agile responsiveness, and a steadfast dedication to supporting its global clients at every stage of their project development.
